Training for Sports Day

This was me spying on Zayd and his kindy mates. They were practising for an upcoming Sports Day. Zayd seems relaxed here, and chats away with his friends. He is a very friendly boy and loves to socialize. He is not one to be shy, and can get too over boisterous at times, as mentioned by his teachers. I hope in due time he learns how to control his enthusiasm without getting himself in trouble for being too loud or too hyper. He hasn't shown much athleticism, although I know he can run quite fast for a five year old, if he wants to. As expected, he typically gets distracted while running in the field and thinks it's all a joke, laughing and being silly all the way. Oh dear. How the teachers have such patience to deal with all this, I have no idea!

I hope he does his best this Sunday.

Going to A Kenduri

This was us last Sunday, attending a Kenduri in Cheras. Ayna and Aisyah sort of colour coordinated. I tried playing matchy matchy with Hubs, and Zayd... well.. Zayd has a spec of his own, so...

Someone Needs A New Cot

Looks like someone has just woken from her nap.

"Hello ... Anybody here?" says she (in her baby language).

Hearing no reply, she peeked her two eyes to scan the room.

Spotted Mummy at the corner.

This little person used all her might to pull herself up ...

And tried climbing out of the cot!

Haish.. after the last pic, I stopped snapping pics. This little lady definitely needs a new cot. We've placed an order for one and hopefully by the end of the week it'll arrive.

In the meantime, let's hope this little lady learns to sit tight!

Fun Run FSKTM 2018

On Sunday, 15 April 2018, my office held a Fun Run. Although I  was too chicken to run the 5 km (heheh), I did come and dragged the children to help out and make the most of the event. I even brought Ayna with me, hence opted out of running, tho' I wish I had. The course didn't look too bad, and everyone sorta completed in about 30-45 minutes tops.

Yay to the wonderful team that made the event happened. It sure was fun, and my kids was just soooper hyper fromv all the running around and sugar rush. Yes, Mummy was busy so they ran loose all they liked, and were supplied with a few Ringgits of cash which they had spent on ice creams, drinks and nuggets. Is it a wonder if Zayd totally zonked out in the car like so?

Joy of Painting

Aisyah and Zayd have recently discovered the joy of painting. I am so happy to see that the two can paint side-by-side with no quarrels or spills. Zayd never used to like anything artsy, but after he turned 5 and started going to Kindy, he's more open and seems to enjoy drawing, painting and crafts in general, very much. Here's a toast to my two budding artists!

Techno Savvy Baby

What kid can escape the invasion of technology nowadays?
Here is Ayna, on her "laptop"... Doesn't she look like a pro? With her Abang Zayd as a mentor, she's all set.

PS: That VTech laptop was bought for Aisyah, almost a decade ago. Good quality children's toys don't come cheap, but what's good about them is that they do last quite a bit.

Bubblies and Beanies

Last Saturday, I took the kids to their Uncle Pa's house (my brother). We hung out for a bit, then Uncle Pa suggested that we go to Bubbles and Beans instead. So we all agreed and went their around 6.30 p.m., aiming to perform the Maghrib solat there. Bubbles and Beans is a centre located at Ayer 8 Putrajaya, and they offered a party place, rides, sells bubbles, ice creams and all thing fun for kids by the lake. Since we're in the equator, pretty much everywhere comes alive after the sunset when the heat has somewhat subsided. The kids were happy, the food was yummeh and the company was sure great. We'll come again soon, and will try some of the rides some other time.
