Graduation - This Time, It's Not Mine ;)

My darling daughter Aisyah attended her Kindergarten's graduation yesterday. Along with receiving a plaque to mark the end of her pre-school studies, she had also performed with her classmates several acts and songs, which I thought was beautifully done. It was a great day all in all. 

I am so proud of her. She has gone through so much in the span of two years - from not knowing a single Malay word, much less Arabic and Du'as and Qira'ati, whilst she was in the UK, to adjusting to new environment with extreme heat in Malaysia, to making a whole new sets of friends who thought she talked funny (she spoke with an accent at first), to losing her Nek Mi (grandma), forcing her to attend school full day from 8 am- 6 pm, and many more. She can now read in BM well, read in English a little slower, talks fluently in Malay, and I discovered that she is very talented in the arts - drawing and dancing in particular. She has very good memory and managed to memorize half of the Muqaddam already, which impresses me to no end, because I now it is none of my doing. 

Alhamdulillah... I am happy just to see that she is happy. I just can't believe how time flies (cliche as this may sound). But really, she'll be seven next year and off to Primary School. Wow... I just pray that she will find the same peace and happiness at her new school soon, and make good new friends and keep the ones that she has close too.

Congratulations, honeybun! You've done so well, so far. Keep it up!

Hihihi... pemandangan biasa perjalanan baluk rumah dari tempat kerja / sekolah / rumah pengasuh....

Pesta Konvo

Sana sini tgh Pesta Konvo nampaknya skrg nih. Coincidence ke mmg sengaja all IPTs choose the same weekend utk buat konvo ye? Memandangkan aku tinggal di Lembah Akademik, mmg memanjang la jem nya nak sampai ke tempat keja. SEMUA uni pun konvo, oh Tuhan!

But one of the perks is, ada byk choice utk berpesta konvo. Ptg td gi Pesta Konvo UPM. It was so much fun sbb byk activities yg family-oriented. I would really recommend you guys check it out, especially kalo mmg minat nak beli bunga, or binatang ternakan, then lagilah 2-in-1 gitu.

First step gerai makan. Ok actually, quite disappointing sbb x byk choice and tukang jual pun mcm mahu x mahu je. Aku rasa diorg penat sgt dah kot sbb terlalu ramai org. By the time kitaorg sampai, pkl 4 ptg, diorg mcm nak x nak ke serve. Oh well. Bkn dtg nak mkn pun, so nev mind.

Budak2 then gi pet the rabbits dengan Ayah diorg. Happy sgt katanya. Tp since aku tersangkut lamat kat gerai mkn, terlepas plak gmbr diorg mencekik mengusap itu rabbits hihi. RM3 per entrance, per person but can stay as long as you want to. Ada byk lg haiwan lain kalo takat nak posing tu. Lembu, kambing, kuda padi, kuda, ayam, semua adooo....

Budak2 ni sibuk berlari ke sana ke mari sbb padang luas. Then ralitkan diorg bg main giant bubbles ni. Good calorie burner sbb kalo lari laju2 lg byk bubbles nya.

After that masuk research expo punya khemah. This one ada mcm2 lah tgk apa setiap fakulti tu nak showcase kan. Yg paling mengujakan Zayd adalah anak ayam warna warni ni dan ayam jantan yg berkokok. 

Pilihan yg bagus utk family. Ada jg yg utk teens ke atas, like canoeing, flying fox, paintballing and other outdoorsy stuff, tp kami mmg x jenguk la. It was fun.  Maybe esok nak dtg lg tgk gerai jualan plak. Dtg dgn budak2 mmg x menghayati nak shopping hehehe...

 

Ustaz Zayd Alhadi

Alhamdulilah, pantang nmpk org bentang sejadah, bergegas cari kopiah, nak ikut 'lalat' (solat). Smgt jd makmum ayah dia. Tgh2 main pun sanggup tinggalkan toys dia, semata2 nak join.

Cuma kalo dah senyum mcm ni tu, ada la tu 'akal' nak ngusik maknanya.

Contohnya, nak tarik kain ayah dia.

Or nak panjat belakang. Or duduk atas riba ayah dia masa org tu tahajud awal or duduk di antara dua sujud. Hmmm...

Zayd oh Zayd. Mummy doakan Zayd kekal rajin sampai dewasa ye solat. Mudah2an nanti bila kamu dah besar, boleh pula Mummy solat berimamkan kamu. Sayangggg bakal Imam Muda Mummy neh...
